Is the SkyBox™ easy to install?
Yes. The patent-pending SkyBox™ comes fully assembled. No tools are required for installation. All you will need is a step ladder. Easy to follow instructions are provided with each unit. Simply slide back the ceiling panel next to the fixture you plan to use, hang the universal Wickwire Bracket™ hinges on the T-Bar next to the fixture, tighten the wing nuts, close the SkyBox™ over the light fixture and secure it with two locking clips. Easy. Fast. No electrician needed. Anyone can do it.

Can you install the SkyBox™ for your customers?
Yes. We can provide installation services in any city worldwide using professional installers. Although the SkyBox™ can be installed by your own personnel, Island Display, Inc. maintains a relationship with installers in your area who will be happy to give you a free estimate. Since our installers are familiar with the product, normally the estimate can be done quickly with a simple telephone call.

After I place my order how long before I can expect delivery?
Delivery time depends on the volume and complexity of your order. For small orders with no graphic requirements, units can be shipped on the next business day following the receipt of your Purchase Order. Large orders may require as much as six weeks for production. If our experienced art department produces the graphic images to be mounted in or on the SkyBox™, shipping will take place as soon as the art has been approved and produced so that you receive fully-completed units ready for immediate installation. .

Where do I purchase the graphics that go in the SkyBox?
While any professional graphics house can produce art work that satisfies the specifications for mounting in or on the SkyBox™, our in-house designers have the experience necessary to produce ready-to-install graphics from files supplied by your art department or advertising agency. You will find that our services are economical because the necessary patterns are already precision designed and the quantity that we are producing already allows us to pass along volume savings to you.

What material is used in the construction of the SkyBox™?
The “lens” or “prism” of the SkyBox™, as well as the graphic “pinch” that holds the advertising in place, is constructed of very strong yet lightweight modified acrylic that is scratch-resistant and will last for years when used indoors. Quality control standards eliminate fixture yellowing from ultraviolet light. The mounting bracket is made from steel. All materials used in the SkyBox™ meet UL specifications and are in compliance with international sign and building codes.

Will the SkyBox™ fit over any fluorescent light?
The SkyBox™ is designed to fit over recessed fixtures manufactured for drop ceiling grids. While there are industry standards with regard to fixture size, there are minor variations among grid manufacturers. Our patent-pending hinge assembly was designed to accommodate the slight variations in T- Bars presently on the market.

Are any tools or additional hardware required to mount the SkyBox™?
Each unit comes fully assembled. When you open the shipping container, your SkyBox™ is ready to install without any additional hardware or tools required. Depending on the light fixture you select for your installation, you may choose to apply the one-sided foam tape (offered) to the Wickwire Bracket™ in order to prevent “light leakage.” In rare cases where the ceiling grid is very old, a bracket accessory may be required.
